Kirby's best '70s DC series?

How old where you when you read Jimmy Olsen?

I ask because I read it (in italian) at about age ten, and since I had no familiarity whatsoever with the DC characters, I found it complex and brilliant, although I preferred the New Gods (both were a backup feature of the italian Kamandi and I think this is an indicator on how the popularity of Kamandi was already strong back then; I have read it also sold better than most of the 4th World titles).

I was probably 12 or 13 - I didn't buy them until after they had coming out - around the end of the Kirby run - as I was a Marvel only kid for a couple years. Maybe I should read them again - I actually have a few issues laying around - but at the time I found them less interesting than the rest of his DC stuff.
