Question about getting a SS book graded.

I'm planning on getting a book signed and graded at an upcoming Con. My question is if I have the book personalized will that hurt the grade?

 

I have absolutely no intention of selling the book, which is why I would like to have the signature addressed to me, but when being graded do they take into account the fact that there's more written on the book than just the name of the guy autographing it? Or is the grading system just for the actual condition of the book?

The personalization will probably be on the label along with the "Signed by"

i.e. Signed & "insert personalization here" by Artist on Date it was signed

Cool, I see it didn't affect your grade at all. I was thinking of having the person personalize it to me but I don't see why that would make a difference.

It has to be witnessed by a CGC employee or CAW.

If the book is going into a SS slab, personalization does nothing to affect the grade - it's treated no differently than the actual signature.
