Wolverine Issue 1 - $20

 

Okay, so I went through my 2-3 copies of this book to find the best and I thought this had a definite shot at a 9.8 so needless to say I was more then surprised when the grade came back 8.5 WP.

 

I looked the book over and over and I could not find anything that would make it even a 9.6 much less an 8.5, so I thought there was a mistake by CGC. I called for notes and as it turns out, the previous owner had decided to take a piece of paper and trace the picture of Wolverine on the back cover. As a result there is a nearly imperceptible trace indentation around Wolvie. Even still, you have to hold it a certain way in the light to see it.

 

Here is the worst part. I forgot to scan it! :pullhair:

 

I will stake some digitals tonight and post the pics then.

This book has never been opened. It is still sealed. It would be a 9.6/9.8 but for ink smudges near the staple from the signatures.
