Right edge (top) trimmed? Or not? hm

Looks like ordinary wear, commensurate with the bottom edge. The extra paper stock exposed at the top right edge (and not at the bottom) is consistent with the shrinkage pattern of the cover and paper from this period.

I would generally agree, but what has me concerned is that the edge is wavy (i.e., not straight). Look just to the right of the CCA stamp . . . hm

I see what you mean with the CCA stamp. Looks like it could be slightly trimmed there. But I agree with the poster that says the shrinkage pattern of the cover and paper is consistent with the period. It's still a spidey key. Might as well submit. Very nice book :)
