Do you really need to change microchamber paper frequently? I just put some in the my books, and would regret doing so if it means that I need to change it out once a decade.

Having been at this awhile, I could give you some of my observations based on my personal experience upgrading books. Anecdotal evidence only.

Some books that weren't stored properly to begin with (not by me), seem to really degrade/discolor the microchamber paper. I'm guessing those books have been turned towards the acidic, and the microchamber paper is drawing some of that out. Like I said, anecdotal evidence only, from being a long-time collector.
