When your favorite Comic book prints it's 1000th issue?

My fav is ASM and if they print only 12 a year and if I'm alive...

I'll be 76!

I wonder if I'll have enough marbles to celibrate...

Get your handy calculator out and tell me -

How old will you be and for what book? grin.gif

Being older than OldGuy is enough to deal with without having to figure out when FF 1000 will come out.

shoot... its a snap - Just take 1000 minus the current issue number, divide by 12

then add to your current age!

Vola! thumbsup2.gif

Hmmm.

I'm 30 years old now

12 issues a year

Issue 380

12 divided by 1000

wait..

1000 - 380

620 divided by 12

carry the 5

multiply by the numerator

add 100 for bi-monthlys

subtract the numerator

and I will be about 23 years old.

That cant be right.

There will never be a 1000th issue at marvel comics. They like canceling and revamping current comics and slapping #1s on the covers to much.

DC on the other hand is right on track to having two 1000th issues with Action Comics and Detective comics only about 2 decades away from the milestone. thumbsup2.gif

So what happens if your favorite comic is Four Color (which of course in my case it is)? The 1,000th issue of that title came out in 1959, 4 years before I was born.

Will I always be minus 4 in age? Mind you, a lot of people have said I act quite young for my years. Could this be the reason?
