RIP - Carroll Shelby

Very sad. I was very surprised when I heard the news.

I'm not a Mustang fan (I am a Shelby Cobra fan though), but greatly appreciate what he brought to the world of high-performance motoring and customization. He played a giant roll in making customization possible and a way of life in the automotive world.

I literally just signed up here to talk comics and here I am talking about cars, as usual, but I had not heard of this until now. Well that is unfortunate, Carroll Shelby was one of the most dynamic, interesting, and successful people in the automotive world for decades.

The 289 Cobra is the drivers ride vs. the 427, but I'd still settle for a Sunbeam Tiger in a heartbeat, the wolf in sheeps clothing of the lineage.

The Stan Lee of the auto world passes away :(

He created one of my favorite dream cars:

He will be missed :sorry:

Ahh. The greatest car ever built.... The 427 cobra jet. It sounds like thunder. :cloud9:
