CGC graded comic question

I hope this isnt a silly question, but I bought my first CGC graded comic on ebay and I was wondering why the side of the holder is not sealed? How do I know the book has not been tampered with?

If the corner posts are not broken, the book hasn't been tampered with.

Just like us, comics need to breathe. The opening on the sides are not big enough to tamper with the book.
