Superboy 13

I won this Superboy 13 at Heritage:

I thought it was a decent book, but when I got it, it has a 1 inch or more tear on FC right side (back boy scouts sleeve, going up), you may be able to see in the scan, I sure didn't.

 

I did notice the tear on the top edge in the scan, and thought that was acceptable with the fine grade.

 

My question is, do you think with the right side tear of more than a inch, is this book really a fine? It's a otherwise nice book, but I am considering returning it. I wish they would put defects like that in thier descriptions.

Very lame on their part, not to include it in the description. I'd return it, and give them a thing or two.

Thats a great book .

A cover showing how to tie knots .

No long legged big boobed gen 13 type cover , it's a real icon of it's times .

The >1" tear definitely takes the book out of FN. In my mind it would take it down at least a point, if not more. (Sorry!)

Yes, that tear DOES knock this comic out of the F 6.0 class. Call them and get the return.
