Is this price a little high..

It seems to be about $600 too high for me, but perhaps I am missing something?

That's a very strong price. Anything over $2000 is high and I don't think they sold as high as this one even during movie hype (I'm too lazy to check GPA.)

Just checked GPA, and the average price for that book in that grade is (including the current sale) $1,692. The previous three sales of a DD 1 CGC 8.0 were $1,662, $1,850, and $1,641.

 

So yeah, that price was about 33% higher, or $860 more, than usual.
