sold a book on ebay. just getting back into selling a few things instead of buy, buy, buy.

can i have an easy transaction? nooooo. it's "not as described" even thought i had a scan (that he didn't bother looking at). does my "NM" gauntlet REALLY look in equal worse condition than the "NM-" ASM the guy is trying to sell?

Your book looks like a 9.0, the ASM maybe an 8.5 tops, though I hate grading by having to move the zoom button all over the image. They are both somewhat overgraded, but if he thinks the ASM is a NM-, he should be comfortable with the IG being NM.

yeah. that's what i told him.

i looked through all of his ASMs. they're all overgraded by 0.5-1.0

including "I'll include my opinion of the general grade range, but look and judge for yourself." on future auctions so i don't get this same "i couldn't see the pic that well on my phone, some people use stock images, yadda yadda" shakedown for a partial refund. *sigh*

I'd also suggest loading the image on a free photobucket or similar service account, and using that in your auctions, so a full size scan is available without using ebay's zoom function.

yeah. I don't like that zoom thing much either, but it's not like I'm selling high dollar books/making much $ at it so idk if it's really worth the trouble. the guy claims he didn't even look at it online, just on a phone. eBay let me keep the $ because he got what he paid for. but they refunded him out of their pocket. so that insufficiently_thoughtful_person got a free comic.
