if i had kept the books nicely bagged and boarded for those first 20 years, i would have a pedigree collection on my hands. frown.gif

Since you bought the Spidey 1 and AF15 from Hammer, does that mean you missed those issues off the stands, or were you just trying to upgrade copies you already had?

i bought those 2 asm 1's and af 15 as investments. i have an AF #15 but no ASM#1.

here's the sad tale told quickly;

shortly after the Kennedy assasination, sometime in early 1964 i SOLD ASM #1 - 5. i made a HUGE profit on the 5 books - netted $9.40 ($10.00 minus the $.60 purchase price) 893whatthe.gif sold them to a kid a couple years my junior named Mario from Orange, NJ. he also wanted the AF 15, but i wouldn't part with that one. they were probably in the 7.0 - 8.0 range but who knows??

so, a 1600% profit after about 1 year - what a financial genius!!!! insane.gif
