I was told some people on here like it.

I'm a huge fan of Berserk. The only one I read when it comes out.

Battle Royale is a great storyline for those that haven't heard of it. Kind of a Hunger Games vibe but different.

Never read Hunger Games, or seen Battle Royale, but from what I understand Hunger Games is a big rip off of Battle Royale.

I have seen Battle Royale and Hunger Games is extremely similar. Battle Royale is much more bloody.

Manga?!? :boo:

The problem with japanese comics, at least in Italy, as in the US the situation has been different, is that they had not been presented in parallel with the other countries' productions when they came out.

I mean that while already in the 1930s we had american comics, french comics and then most of each and every other country‘s production, the japanese "golden age" (which in a modern sense starts in the post-war years), "silver age" and equivalents have not been adequately presented.

There are japanese series and characters that are at the same qualitative level of the best american and european comics, but since in most countries the interest in publishing manga started in the mid-1980s (Akira from Epic was published in 1988, and in Italy manga started to be published massively in the early 1990s), publishers tried to concentrate on the contemporary products, or on what they perceived as more "modern", and very little of the amazing 1950s, 1960s and 1970s (and even 1980s) production has never been offered.

If you feel like to try something of value, pick up Hitoshi Iwaaki’s "Parasite", which has an american edition, a *very* original story dealing with a classic theme (alien invasion) in a really fresh way:

BTW, I have yet to read the ending.

My interest in Parasyte dates back to when I got a copy of #3 in Japanese when it came out (around 1989), and then in Italy it took seven years to publish seven issues.

Thanks to the US publisher which allows me to read the last two installments! :acclaim:

They are very lightly used - I bought them, put a single comic in a couple and the rest just sat out.

I'm not sure about this offer but figured it couldn't hurt to see if people wanted some free Mylars - working on offer #3 so no tomatoes this time....please
