So I went back and checked and that was the guy I remembered. It was odd that he was so eager to request something despite not having enough posts and clearly (in my mind but not everyones) against the shippers desire to ship to another country. The giver was nice enough to do it anyway however.

 

The thing that bothered me at the time was that he was able to make 50 posts in no time but seemed apathetic about actually posting his PIF. Just my opinion though.

I was wondering this too. If I posted about this in the market place probation thread, would they be like "who cares"? I see in the probation rules, it states that it's not just for the message boards but for any transaction between board members anywhere. I wanted to post it here and get some feedback before posting there.

I got an Avengers 1 2nd printing blank cover variant but I don't know where it came from. I think Rupp threw it in with an order. Anyway, that's not the fun part.

 

The fun part is I will draw a character of your choosing on the blank and send it to you.

 

If there is no interest I will throw up something else after work on Thursday.

 

You can also just claim the blank without the drawing on it, but that's not very fun

 

I'm a pretty decent drawer, my mom said so.

 

I'm pretty open to draw whatever as long as you can help find reference if its something strange...no porn though

I'm a newbie that had to go into the grade my book thread to jump my posts up to join PIF. I wouldn't have minded waiting a certain amount of time if that was the rule. I think anyone with good intentions wouldn't mind waiting either. Still, the kind of people who take advantage of these things probably have nothing better to do so I don't know how much a rule change would detour that. But I guess it's a start.

We will not let a few bad apples ruin this thread. For every Bathedinflames (which is an appropriate name) there are a hundred of us good participants. We will make the people who get cheated whole again and keep the fun going. (thumbs u

I've got to say I think this is a solution in need of a problem. If we've had two bad apples in over a year and one of them seems to have corrected his ways. In that year we also have had quite a few newer members who graded a couple books and payed it forward admirably. I like the way this is currently handled. If someone seems to have gotten screwed by the PIF we can send something his way.

We could have a group of volunteers who would step in to send something to anyone who was stiffed. I would be happy to do so.

 

We could also have some minimum qualification for boardies who want to play. It could be 3 months (or whatever) on the forum (with or without a minimum number of posts) or for those who don't meet that qualification, they could offer a PIF before taking one, and once that was performed successfully, they would be able to play with everyone else.

I thought of that, but I don't really see it as an issue. I think we can deal with it, and it might even make the thread a little more exciting.
