Of course, but I was speaking in general. It’s clearly fine for the US, but for overseas, let’s say, one might have been just interested in the Magik limited series and in the New Mutants issues (#51 is awesome, a VERY important story which, for good or bad, will define the trajectory of Claremont as a writer for the 1990s, and with Kevin Nowlan portraying Magneto as he should be now):

At the risk of a small derailment :shy: , what is up with the "@" symbol I'm seeing in front of names from time to time? smiley-confused013.gif

It’s a typographic sign. meaning "at", and thus it means: «this comment is directed at you».

It's new internet lingo. It means you're addressing that member.

Ah.

hm

So, "@Claudio and @Liam- Thanks, I didn't know that" = "Thanks Claudio and Liam. I didn't know that."?

Hit me up with the mystery box. I don't really collect single issues anymore but I'm always down for TPB's, cool comic swag, or whatever you think is cool that I might like. I'll post up an offer in a few.

Here are a few options to start with. I'll put together another option or two if none of these are picked. I will cover the first $15 shipping anywhere in the world, even to dirty Canadians.

Option #1 - Mini Series Lot

A sampling of a few of my favorite mini series collections, Infinity Gauntlet, Lobo, and Death. If you haven't read these or if it's been a while, it's probably time to get on it.

Option #2 - Marvel Universe Series 1 Trading Cards Complete Set (No Holograms)

If you're in the late 20's to early 30's maybe you will, like me, find these cool trading cards to be a guilty nostalgic pleasure. This set, from 1990 contains all 162 cards, but sorry I don't have the 5 holograms. Cards are all in about NM condition. I'll include a binder and 9 pocket sleeves with the set.

Option #3 - Web of Spider-man 1-11 + 29

A run of the original Web of Spider-man from issues #1 (one of my favorite covers) to issue #11, and issue #29 a Wolverine appearance and cover.

Option #4 - Spiderman: Blue + Daredevil: Yellow + Hulk: Grey

Jeph Loeb and Tim Sales awesome Marvel mini-series run. Issues 1-6 of all 3 mini-series. Sorry for stock photo.

Option #5 - $25 Amazon Gift Certificate

If you're outside the US and want to make my life easy this is the option for you!

If you haven't read the Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale color books they are pretty awesome, especially the Spiderman Blue books.

Awesome you'll love those books. Spiderman Blue in particular was one of my favorite Spiderman stories, outside of Kravens Last Hunt and the Ultimate Spiderman Omnibus. Daredevil and Hulk were both pretty good too, although the Daredevil story's end sort of assumes you have some knowledge of Daredevils background that I didn't have, but I still liked it. Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale are an awesome creative team.

PM me your shipping info and I'll get these out to you early this week.

I'm kinda pissed off right now, and I'm sure that's a good indication that I shouldn't be making this post, but whatever. So yeah someone remind me, what's the point of this thread again? Because, and correct me if I'm wrong, it is about giving right?

Well apparently it's been brought to my attention that giving just isn't good enough. I've been asked to stop claiming peoples trash offers and validating the actions of people who claim something valuable and in return offer dollar bin drek. Apparently this isn't just the opinion of the person who asked me this but the opinion of a group of you guys, so I'm told.

Ok fine, I'm done with this thread. The greed monster has reared his ugly head one to many times for me so I'm done.

I've enjoyed participating in this thread very much and to those that have made it a fun experience thank you. My offers haven't always been top of the line, I tend to try to offer something that I feel is in line with the quality of what I claimed, and for that perhaps I should apologize for not trying a little harder all the time.

But for me this thread was really about giving. I would visit the comic store on Wednesday to pick up my weekly comics and I'd generally try and pickup something I thought would be cool for PIF and added it to the pile. That was fun for me. Sharing books I really liked with others, that was fun for me.

Being asked to stop, not so much. I'll fulfill my obligation to send out my last offer claimed and I don't expect to be around anymore. I hope the thread survives and thrives, it was a great idea.

Well – in all honesty – Guy, that should be precisely the reason for which you should stay, IMO. (thumbs u
