Silver Age Marvels & DCs From Philadelphia Comic Con in Pedigree’s July Auction!

1 post in this topic

The high grade CGC certified comic books are continuing to come in for Pedigree Comics’ upcoming Grand Auction, scheduled to begin in just over two (2) weeks on the night of Monday, July 9th, 2012 and last for ten (10) days until the night of Thursday, July 19th. The auction will have a few hundred choice high grade CGC certified Marvels from the Silver and Bronze Ages and many other genres and publishers. The sooner you consign your books the more exposure and press they will receive. Pedigree aggressively promotes and advertizes each Grand Auction on many online sites and trade publications and we also send periodic newsletters to all of our over 18,000 customers announcing the individual auction items. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and most of the books will have no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid is only $100. You can check out almost 100 books in the Auction Preview right now at www.PedigreeComics.com.

The subject of this article is the almost 70 books we purchased at the recent Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con. The books are awaiting certification at CGC and all will be graded and uploaded in time for the auction. All are high grade Marvels and DC’s from the 1960’s and early 1970’s (plus a few from the Golden Age). Almost every comic is in NM condition and higher. Please check the site and this space next week for the latest news and additions to the July Grand Auction, including the grades on these Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con books. Almost every book will be a 9.4 and higher and most will be in 9.8 and 9.6. You will not want to miss out on the Philly books!

We will continue to accept consignments for the auction, even after the auction commencement, until midnight on Thursday, July12th, so check the site (www.PedigreeComics.com) for consignment instructions and get your books in now.

If you have any questions or comments about the consignment process, any of the auction lots or about the Grand Auction in general, as well as how to consign your CGC graded books for Pedigree’s July Grand Auction, please contact Pedigree’s President and CEO, Doug Schmell, at (561) 422-1120 (office) or (561) 596-9111 (mobile) or by email at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com. For any financial related and consignment payment questions, please contact Pedigree's CFO Lisa Shapiro at Lisa@pedigreecomics.com and for any technical related questions or concerns, please contact our Web Master at WebDesigner@pedigreecomics.com.

Consignors maximize their profits selling in Pedigree’s Grand Auctions, more so than on any other auction site or auction house. We do not charge a Buyers Premium, an amount that most bidders take into consideration when bidding in other sites (the bidders simply deduct that Buyers Premium amount from their final bidding price, meaning less $$ to the consignor and more to the auction site). The higher the value of your book(s) that sell in a Grand Auction, the more $$ you take home under Pedigree Comics’ Climbing Scale. We consistently set new sales records for Silver and Bronze Age comics in each Grand Auction and on our regular site inventory. Grand Auctions are unique and exciting, with new and diversified, top-rated CGC material in each event. Why settle for less by consigning with someone else?

Prospective consignors can also upload their own scans, item information, descriptions and reserve amounts for the July Grand Auction by utilizing the Automated Consignment System. It is actually very easy and fun to do. Just register onto the site, click "Customer Page" under "Your Account" and then click "Consignments" (under "Auctions"). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and upload your own CGC certified books and magazines. We will receive an email notification automatically once you have uploaded the information and we will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the July Grand Auction to be bid on. You will be amazed how simple it is to utilize the Automated Consignment System.
