Thanks DWC. Attending my fist Con in Baltimore and have some sealed CGC grade comics I'd like signed by Stan The Man, but I'm not sure how I should go about cracking the cases before getting the signatures. I understand that after I get the signatures I can submit the comics directly to DWC at their booth.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Shogun,

If they are anything except yellow labels then yes you can crack them yourself. If they are yellow label then they must be cracked by a CGC employee or an authorized facilitator. If you are not comfortable cracking the books then just visit us at our booth several hours before the signing. Please do not wait to have the book(s) cracked once the signing has started. Once at the show make sure to stop by our booth to fill out your CGC submission form. Does this help.

DWC,

EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thanks so much!

If you don't mind a few more questions from a newbie, I'll ask them now.

1. I'd like to have 3-5 books signed by Stan. Is that possible, or is it one ticket per person? Or can I buy several tickets?

2. Can I buy tickets for his signature ahead of time?

3. You mentioned getting the cases cracked before the signing- I plan to be there when the doors open at 10, so I'm assuming Stan's signature signing starts after that? Or are those details not available yet?

My apologies for inundating you with questions, I just want to try to get it right the first time.

Thanks again!

You can purchase more then 1 signing ticket but it is 1 item per ticket. So if you have 5 items to get signed you will need 5 signing tickets.

Advance tickets should be announced shortly. JUst keep shecking both the Baltimore site and the CGC boards.

We have not heard what the signing schedule is as of yet. So keep checking.

If you wish you can simply e-mail us your questions at questions@desertwindcomics.com

E-mail us with the invoice number and we will be happy to update you. If it has not been verified yet that simply means that CGC has the submission form but has not verified the books on the invoice yet. They usually do that when they are about 1/3 of the time into the grading process. Please remember that CGC is currently taking 55 BUSINESS days for grading Modern tiers and 110 BUSINESS days for grading Economy tier.s.
