You have to make sure its a true IMAX screen. There are theaters with IMAX on the building that are just regular theaters with a few minor upgrades. The screen I go to is over 60ft high.

 

The sound and picture are vastly superior to the regular digital rooms in the same complex and the cost is only a few dollars over the regular theater.

 

You guys are going to hate me but because I live in a low cost of living state my IMAX matinee of Dark Knight Rises cost me 10 bucks last Saturday and it was in one of the top theaters in the country.
