Don't all the Whitman books have the Diamond price box also?

 

The Whitman 3 pack books, yes. But again, just because it was in a Whitman 3 pack doesn't mean it was a reprint. Marvel used Western Publishing as its distributor during this time period for direct market copies, and thus, direct market copies (first printings) went into the Whitman 3 packs.

 

The reason all Whitman 3 pack books have the Diamond is because they are all direct market copies.

 

The Star Wars Whitman Reprints are a different story. Those are Reprints, and are so indicated on the cover and in the indicia.

I think this book is a whitman reprint.The cover is actually changed from the original issue.Issue number and price are in the same diamond and Dr. Strange is printed where the original number and Ccc emblem went.UPC is also blank.

Not a reprint. An early direct market copy.
