COMIC SCENE-MEDIA SCENE then eventually PREVUE

Hey all...

 

As a few of you know, aside from collecting comics and the like, I am a ravenous magazine collector. Aside from the horror mags I usually buy Iand collect any and all film mags. Fangoria, Famous Monsters, Cinefantastique etc... Well a few months I picked up out of the blue a few copies of Mediascene. They we're a magazine that was edited by Steranko.

 

Ya, that Steranko. Anyway-- I heard that this mag has quite a history. Starting as comic scene in a paper like format(like monster times I think) then revamping to Media scene then turning into Prevue, which some older members might remember as that film mag that was covered in sexy model pictures and was chock full of softcore porn ads in the back. (my parents didn't allow me to own any in the 80's)

 

I was curious if anyone knew much about this line of mags and if it has a following. I am starting to gather a few(like 8 now-haha) but I think the film geek in me will end up finding them all... eventually.
