GRADE THIS MTU 2

from what? Can't tell by the scan.

The bottom staple is detached...

The bottom staple looks off, but it's hard to tell from the scan.

It's completely detached. Any idea how CGC would grade it?

definately Qualified. I have a Q book that says centerfold detached and it's a 9.2 book. So I would think they would give it a Q label.

I submitted a book to CGC that I didn't check to closely that had the bottom staple detached. The result:

Qualified 9.0 - COVER DETACHED FROM BOTTOM STAPLE

Hope this helps,

Staple detachment, be it cover or centerfold, will always "earn" a Qualified grade in a high grade book (anything over VF 8.0). Why, because it's important to know. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif Does it bother me? Not if it's clean, like this one. thumbsup2.gif Would I rather have it attached? foreheadslap.gif
