what knocks this out of the 9.0 range? I thought for sure it was a 8.5/9.0 at least.

I was going to say 8.5 to 9.0 but then I count about 6 small spine creases. I got some 9.0's with no small spine creases...Then again since this is a key issue, it could hit 9.0. Who knows...
