Registry sets for Marvel character first appearances?

Is there any way to register marvel character first appearances in my collection Registry set ?

 

Sorry if this is newbie ? and been discussed before? I can't seem to find anything.

I believe there are currently three sets for first appearances in the Marvel Universe:

 

Marvel Silver Age First Issues

 

The Women of Marvel set

 

and

 

Marvel Copper Age First Appearances

 

If you are looking to add a book that doesn't fit in these three categories, I'd recommend heading to the "Registry Set Full Set Additions" thread and provide Gemma with a list for a specific set idea. For example, you could request a "Marvel Bronze Age 1st Appearances set", or a "Marvel Modern Age 1st Appearances Set".

 

Keep in mind, these will not be considered without a detailed list! You're not the only one who would use this set but make sure you put some effort into its creation.

Thanks ! For the input. I have been collecting Marvel first appearances for 20 years. On may way to scrub and polish the list now. Creating the list alone will be quite at task!

Cool! Just make sure it's a specialized list, not just "All Marvel First Appearances". Maybe try the Bronze one first, then try the other sets.

I'd start off the list with only the top tier key 1st appearance books.

I spent a good 6 months working on the Women of Marvel First Appearance set list and then submitted to Gemma - it was then another 4-6 months before she was able to add it.

 

it's good to include all the detail. I included the title of comic, date published & character to first appear. my plan has been to do a "Men of Marvel 1st appearance set" next and then have the 2 lists combined for a complete list, however, the men list is coming along very slowly....

 

I had also thought, they could be broken down by age as well. (doing the lists in an excel spreadsheet makes it easy to sort by date)

 

Anyway, I'm still working on additions and slight alterations to the women of marvel list.... it's time consuming, so if anyone would like to get a copy of my men of marvel list, I'm happy to forward the excel sheet.
