Over/Under

4 posts in this topic

is now at 1/2 calendar year...

That's right, that's right - the over/under on how long it will be before I have my books back from CGC is 1/2 year, 6 months, 182.5 days...weigh in where you will.

I sent a small package (all I can afford) on Friday - as soon as it is marked received, I will start the clock. When the books are back in my hands, I will stop the clock...it's a race against time, and the other contestant is the earth revolving around the sun (1/2 way).

Now, before you consider whether you are in on the over or the under - you should be aware of the most current data that I have. My package (same size, same tier) dropped off on April 1st, is graded, but not verified and (obviously) not shipped. Today is calendar day 170...that means there is only 12.5 days left for my existing package to get back to me on the under - since I dropped them off at a few minutes of noon, I'll give them till midnight to get here (although UPS gets here at 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM).

C'mon, play along...which is faster, CGC or the earth revolving around the sun (halfway)?

And for tonight - off to look at a short box of 1960 - 1965 Strange Adventures...plus some other early 60's DCs...

Happy Hunting

Don't forget CGC goes by business days - Monday through Friday, exlcude all holidays... So, I've found my books are getting graded right on the current turnaround times.... 70 days for modern, 120 for value, etc....

But, yes... Try to forget about 'em and try to send in an order at least once a month, that way when they start coming home, you'll get some every month!

it helps!

Business days - schmisness days, who is talking about business days? No-one can even agree what a business day is...anyway, that isn't any fun - and it has no relation to how long my books are out of my hands.

And yes, it is a matter of ship 'em and forget you own them till they magically appear.
