Did this flashback ever appear as an actual event in a comic ?

Issue 1 of the Cosmic Boy mini series (1986) has Cosmic Boy reflecting in a Flashback how he met Superman (during the legends storyline) and realised that Superman didn't recognise him as Cosmic Boy from the LSH.

 

However I can't seem to find an issue where this flashback ever took place as an actual event. Did it appear in one, and if so, in which title and issue number ?
