Before I comment I want to say that is not me, but anyways he doesnt say it is the "Thought bubble" variant, just sort of implied, it does have "Bubbles" on the cover

Thought Bubble is a convention in England.

The blue and green variant that says "Thought Bubble" on the cover is a Thought Bubble variant.

The white cover is a second printing and has nothing to do with Thought Bubble.

Why did the same image get used for the 2nd print that the variant used, except with a new colour scheme?

Because we liked that design and only 500 copies of the Thought Bubble variant were made available for sale. It combines both covers -- it uses the colors of the original cover, combined with the layout for the TB cover. The 3rd printing, meanwhile, is a variation on the first printing cover, with the same colors, but a different effect on the images.

Cool, only wondering because the other prints will have different covers! Thanks for answering :)

Are the creators/artists going to be appearing at any conventions coming up? Been looking but havent been able to find anything.

Id like this information as well. I make very few con trips a year so I usually try to hit cons where creators that make stories I admire are at.

I'll be at ECCC in Seattle in about a month's time, and apparently so will Nate.

After that, SDCC, then NYCC. Not much beyond that for me.

the image book "I Love Trouble" uses some of the best paper stock ive ever seen.

who chooses what paper stock is used for their book(s)? and can that stock be used on other books?

Depends. In that case, Mark and Kel wanted something specific, and we talked about a few different papers. They wanted something with a pulpy feel, like the texture of newsprint, but a bit heavier. I think that's the same stock as IDW's Popeye books use, and I recommended that. In other cases, a writer or an artist may ask us to match something that's caught their eye.

Too close to ECCC! More than one con per month kind of plays hell with actually getting things done...
