JerryAmsterdam
NEWS FLASH http://cbldf.org/2013/02/nowhere-men-1-launches-cbldf-liberty-variant-program-at-wizard-world-portland/ OMG I WANT ONE!!!! The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is proud to announce LIBERTY VARIANT — a new fundraising program bringing special editions of the hottest new comics to reward the organization’s supporters at conventions across the United States. Image Comics is kicking off the program by contributing a special edition of Nowhere Men #1 by Eric Stephenson, Nate Bellegarde, Jordie Bellaire, and Fonografiks, which will premiere at Wizard World Portland on February 22. Limited to 500 pieces, the Nowhere Men #1 Liberty Variant is available for contributions of $10 each or $5 each for card-carrying CBLDF Members. “So much of the CBLDF’s support comes from the passionate community of readers, collectors, and retailers we meet at conventions,” said CBLDF Executive Director Charles Brownstein, “so we’re thrilled to work with Image Comics to establish a new program that makes cool editions to thank those folks for their support! The Liberty Variants are designed to be great jumping-on moments for exciting books by CBLDF supporting creators, and unique collectibles that do good for the cause! Considering the enormous support Image Comics has provided over the years, and Eric Stephenson’s own personal efforts for our work, it’s a great honor to launch this program with his excellent new series.” Nowhere Men is an ongoing series that explores the fallout when the research and development company World Corp. and its superstar founders, known as “The Fab Four of Science,” push the limits of technology and morality. Melding science and intrigue with stylish art and design, Nowhere Men shows us a world where scientific innovation has replaced popular entertainment as the engine driving the modern world. A must read for fans of LOST, SAGA, and classic science fiction. To get your copy of Nowhere Men #1 Liberty Variant, please visit CBLDF Booth #703 at Wizard World Portland, opening on Friday, February 22. buddymagoo
No hype... That *spoon* will be hotter than the TB. Why??? B/C people like me can't get it. Watch.... No chance! Thought bubble was printed before the 1st print and this is being released after the #1 1st print, #1 TB Variant, #1 2nd print, #2 1st print, #2 2nd print and #3 1st print. That's a whole 6 issues before the release of the CBLDF variant and you're say this will be hotter than the Thought Bubble variant that was released 2 weeks before the #1 1st print?? JerryAmsterdam
So are you guys saying this wont sell past $20 on the aftermarket? I think it might sell above that. Not as well as the thought bubble, but it will be desired especially with the 500 print run. IMO
