It didn't surprise at all, at the last page. That the Joker targeted Alfread first, after all Alfread is/was Batman's first ally.

 

Last week or two weeks ago, The Red Hood and the Outsider #0 featured a back story about Jason Todd. What really surprised me was the second story (or the Joker backup story) it shows that the Joker was responsible for getting Batman and Jason together and knew who Jason was.

 

I was really surprised about that issue, I only brought the issue hoping for a swimsuit Starfire.

 

I enjoyed it, and gave an added depth to the relation between Jason and Joker

as someone who never read Batman (outside of DKR & Year One) comics before, i really am enjoying this series
