Wait, now I'm confused? I'm pretty sure I signed up on the CGC side and it wouldn't let me start a new Journal here? (shrug)

 

There are two sign-ups: one on the CGC side for Registry and Journals, the other is for this chat room.

 

If I remember correctly, you start the journal on the CGC side, and then continue using it on the chat room side. So you only have to go to the CGC side once.

That's also why you see a fair amount of people over there who create a lot of long one-page journal entries but never respond to replies and questions - they either haven't created a chat-room account or don't want to (some feel it's a little too hostile).
