Free 30 day Fixed Price listings

Anyone else get this?

 

"Invited sellers ("sellers") who list in the Fixed Price format pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein will pay no Insertion Fee per item listed ("Promotion") for up to 5,000 listings during the Promotion period"

 

Now that is uncommon. I can't remember seeing one of these in the last year, maybe two.

Hopefully it is a sign of more to come.

No insertion fee? Do they hit you double with a climax fee on the back end?

Yup. I think everyone got this.

 

Someday they'll figure out that they would make more money by just offering free unlimited listings. The big fees come in after something sells. More listings, more sales, more revenue.

They are always offering promotions for free listings. I don't list unless it is during a free time. They still make it up in the end.

Every couple of weeks they offer 7day Free Auction listings (always on low traffic days like Tuesday,Wednesday), not Free 30 day fixed price listings.

Ebay UK is running a "list up to 50,000 items free" for business sellers.
