Hello all,

 

I've got a small collection of coverless golden age books I will be listing here one at a time. I will try to describe each book as well as take a few pics as I post

 

them, but please understand that, with few exceptions, all of the books from the 40's are in rough shape. Some are better than others. The silver age and newer books are all [pretty decent though. I'm hoping that all of these books can be married with covers, but I just don't have the time.

 

While this isn't a great quality lot, it is an opportunity to own some books from the 40's & 50's for cheap and it'll help me clear up some space in my

collection.

#1) GREEN LANTERN #27 1947 - 1st Appearance of the Sky Pirate - $50

 

This book appears to be complete, but as you can see, there are brittle areas. I'm hesitant to say the books is brittle overall as most of the pages feel supple to me.

 

That being said, there are the visible chunks missing around the periphery as well as well as numerous small tears. I have no problem turning the pages, and it is

 

not falling apart in the process. Really, I think it's in decent shape for a 65 year-old comic.

If you sub-titled the Comics #1 , as Anarcho, Dictator of Death (1947), it may sell faster.

*This one is in better condition than the others. Although somewhat brittle, with some missing corners, overall feel of the book is supple (at least when compared to the others) Seems complete.
