Print totals for key modern #1's. Please help.

James is spot on.

The image run was 22,000

King Larrys charity feed the starving artist versions 4,000

NYCC + SD cons 1000 total.

Official figure for Bedlam is 22k with 5000 variants

Assume you mean Detroit not SD. Also remember that NYCC had the RRPs + the Regular (colored) version, so those are probably very conservative figures.

So Chuck are you saying that King Larry's and the con variants were also paid for by Spencer?

So did Spencer get some more printed mid nycc con?

If you remember some more turned up on Sunday, now priced at $10 not $5.

You ever heard of that happening before?

I have no idea what the actual agreement is between creators and store owners who piggyback a variant on to the print run, but I know that a creator would see it as more books to be sold toward the print run or else they wouldn't do it.

I've heard of books being shipped to the show late (one box gets there Friday, the other Saturday), that happens all the time. The price probably went up to keep the speculators from buying all the copies. That happens occasionally as well.
