I bought it to read, I read it, and now I'm selling since I have a slab.....on to the next reader....great story....

Tales of suspense 52....have avoided selling this reader copy for many years...it's a beauty, but someone in their wisdom decided to Amateur CT along the spine in a spot of purple, and at the top in green. I bought this well over 30 years ago and it's been my keeper. Since I have an 8.0 slab, I guess I can let this beauty go.

 

I'd like to call it an 7.5/8.0 as it presents nicely like my slab. Could be pressed, could be lightly cleaned on the back, but really, it is what it is...a beautiful mylar book.

 

The last slabbed blue label 8.0 sold for $950

The last purple label SA 9.0 sold for $632

 

I'm looking to get $375 for this copy.

TOS 9...PROTOTYPE IRON MAN ISSUE.....someone CT over names on the cover  not sure how to grade it, I'm just going to ask for $50 which is around overstreet G/VG even though it's higher grade structurally, and I consider the coloring a defect rather than a CT? go figure Overstreet VG is $78 and Fine is $117.

A couple of Fireside books...I got these as part of a box of comics I purchased last month, so since I already have them, someone else gets a great read.

 

Note the tape strip on the Origins copy that goes all the way front to back. Name Jeff written on the inside of Sons in purple crayon. Name Jeff Kinsey written like a 4th grader in pen on the inside cover of Origins and has the price scratched out on the cover.

 

Origins from 1974 call it a G/VG?

Sons of Origins from 1975 call it a VG/FN?

 

How about $15 for the pair? They fill a priority box nicely with comics and sure would protect them..... SOLD
