SGT. FURY SA LOT - #'s 1-23++ Original Owner Lot - 36 Books - PHOTOS ADDED

I've got a nice low-to-mid grade lot of Sgt. Fury's for sale. This was an original owner lot I discovered stacked in an attic of an old house. As with many OO lots, these were stacked untouched for decades. The books on the outside of the "sandwich" have the most wear. In this case, it was sandwiched by the 1st ten books. So, while that makes them a little rough, the middle books were quite nicely preserved. All in all, this group is flat and attractive. The scans don't do them justice!

 

I've listed them below with strict grades, perhaps too strict on some. Overall, with the exception of a few, is a very nice lot, and flat. The first 12 are decidedly low-grade, but still nice solid books for the grade and look great in Mylar. After #12, the books take big swing up in grade. Many feel fresh and new with nice gloss and only a few spine ticks, corner bends, and tiny tears to show for sitting untouched for 40+ years. Some of the books in this lot are truly spectacular and I'm loath to part with them (14, 21, 41 to name a few). Overall, eye-appeal is high for this lot.

#1 ~ 1.0 F - Cover split, detached - Interior intact and supple (pictured in Mylar, hence the reflection)

 

#2 - 1.5 F/GD - Cover is technically holding on by the bottom staple, but it's nearly split along the length. Complete interior.

#3 ~ 3.5 VG- - Tight staples, complete interior. Small chip missing cover, right side, small tear on rear cover that extends into 1/3 of interior.

#4 ~ 2.0 GD - Staples holding, but short tears on both. Spine has several chips along its length. Spine Roll. «? Corners missing, last 2 pages, upper corner. Some moisture staining on back cover, no wavyness though.

#5 ~ 1.5 F/GD - Paint covering 1/2 of Baron Strucker's face, popped bottom staple. Small chip cover. 1-1/2" tear back cover but does not extend into interior. Minor spine roll. . Some moisture staining on back cover, no wavyness though.

#6 ~ 1.5 F/GD - Paint marks over Fury on cover, short tear green box cover, Staples holding, but short tears on both. Spine has several chips along its length. 1" tear back cover, upper staple. Painted area below. (looks like this kid's was painting a model airplane)

#7 ~ 3.0 G/VG - Upper staple rust (minor), short spine split llc, small chip and tear top cover.

#8 ~ 2.5 GD+ - Staples holding, but lower staple has tears. Small chip llc. Two short tears on cover over code. Small corner chip lrc. Minor spine roll.

#9 ~ 4.0 VG - Hitler Cover. Tight Staples, a few tiny tears right side, marvel chipping top cover. Rust, upper staple.

#10 ~ 1.8 GD- - Cover spine split, 2/3 of cover (top down) Bottom staple holding. Three small tears rear cover.

 

#11 ~ 4.5 VG+ - Solid book. Tight staples, no tears of note. Flat book, date stamp rear cover. Moderate cover sheen.

#12 ~ 5.0 VG/FN - Solid 5.0. Tight staples, no tears of note. Flat book, minor rust lower staple. Moderate cover gloss. Moderate marvel chipping cover right side.

#13 ~ 3.5 VG- This is the second solo Captain America crossover! Tight staples. Small tear bottom cover, two jagged tears top cover (stable though) but extend to first two pages, small tear rear cover. Excellent cover gloss, very nice eye appeal on this one!

#14 ~ 8.0 VF - Cover has no tears (just a scratch upper left above "S". Only one small tear on rear cover as well as small chip lrc on spine. Nice book with excellent gloss!

#15 ~ 7.5 VF- - Small tear above "S". Very minor marvel chipping bottom cover. Tiny corner missing, Rear cover upper left. Nice gloss on this one, very flat. Excellent eye appeal!

#16 ~ 7.5 VF- - Marvel chipping bottom cover: small chip llc cover, 1/8" next to it. Small color wear next to that. Otherwise nice book with excellent gloss and eye appeal!

#17 ~ 6.0 FN - Pencil cover ulc otherwise only defect is on rear cover with a chip missing corner on spine, 1/8" chip to the left and a short tear to left of that. Nice flat book with excellent gloss.

#18 ~ 7.0 FN/VF - Really nice book, no tears or chipping. Nice gloss, feels great in the hand!

#19 ~ 5.5 FN- - Only real defect is a small chip missing on back cover, upper right. Nice gloss and excellent eye appeal overall.

#23 ~ 5.5 FN- - Some marvel chipping around the cover on this one, but really that's it. Super nice copy, with excellent gloss and eye appeal.

#31 ~ 7.0 FN/VF - - Very nice copy, only three defects I could fine are a tiny piece of the lrc is missing, a tiny chip out of the upper left corner, and a short tear near llc. Back has a small moisture stain lrc. Nice sheen overall, very nice eye appeal.

#32 ~ 7.0 FN/VF - Marvel chipping, bottom front cover. Moisture stain lower spine corner (does not go through interior). Tiny 1/16" split ulc. Nice sheen and eye appeal.

#33 ~ 6.5 FN+ - Small spine split, upper lhc & moisture stain bottom corner spine. (does not go through interior. This book has super nice eye appeal, flat and shiny!

#41 ~ 8.0 VF - Only defect on this book is upper staple is pulled a bit, but still holding. Otherwise, a very nice book indeed!

#47 ~ 7.0 FN/VF - Moderate marvel chipping top edge of book. Small piece of lower right corner (front) is missing. Otherwise, nice and shiny!

#50 ~ 7.0 FN/VF - Very minor marvel chipping bottom edge. 1" tear to the right of the "MCG" lower lhc. Small corner of back cover lower lhc is missing. Very nice book, high sheen and rich colors!

#52 ~ 7.5 VF- - Beautiful book, high gloss with a very few chips on right side and bottom back cover. Light pencil date on cover.

#80 ~ 8.0 VF - With the exception of a small 1/16" tear on the upper front cover & short tear on the upper back cover, this issue is pristine.

Annual #2 ~ 7.0 FN/VF - The only real flaw (besides a dirty-ish back cover) is a small gouge on the word "size" top front cover. Paper is still there, just needs to be pressed out to form the letter. Also, light pencil date in "Fury". Otherwise, super nice book!

Annual #4 ~ 6.0 FN - Moderate marvel chipping right side and small piece of rear lower corner missing. Slight bend in book, upper right corner due to improper storage. Could be easily pressed out "naturally". No color breaks there. Small scratch above "Sgt. Fury Special", not torn.
