Official 2012 CGC boards HOLIDAY RAFFLE thread!

1,439 posts in this topic

Greetings all, once again, from your friendly neighbourhood HolidayHam! :hi:

This is the official prize thread for our Holiday Raffle. :acclaim:

Cut-off for prize donations is December 22nd. Target date for the drawing is Saturday, December 29th.

I will list the rules and requirements below. :rulez:

If you are in the Gift Exchange, you are automatically entered into the Raffle with a chance to win prizes. For all of those that are in the Gift Exchange, you have already told me through our PM whether you are donating a prize or not. If you elect to donate a prize for the Raffle, and haven't told me what it is yet, please PM me through our already-opened PM exchange.

If you are not part of the Gift Exchange, yet would still like to be in the Raffle, you will need to donate a prize. Simply PM me your Raffle prize and you will automatically be entered into the Raffle and therefore eligible to win prizes.

Your name will only be entered once in this draw, no matter how many prizes you donate. I know that's not an incentive to donate more than one prize, but feel free to do so if you'd like. :foryou:

As of right now, I don't know how many prizes will be donated, but this is the way it's going to go, as far as Raffle winners and number of prizes they may choose:

1st name drawn gets the top prize and he/she will choose the first 3 prizes.

2nd name drawn gets the 2nd prize and he/she will choose the next 2 prizes (#'s 4, and 5).

3rd name drawn gets the 3rd prize and he/she will choose the next 2 prizes (#'s 6, and 7).

4th name drawn gets the 4th prize and he/she will choose 1 prize (#8).

5th will choose 1 (#9) and so on and so on....

  • Names will continue to be drawn until all prizes available will be spoken for.

  • There will be a bonus prize awarded to the last name drawn.

  • Not all people in this raffle will get a prize.

Understand? (thumbs u

Now that all the details have been mentioned, it's time to see the prizes. :whee:

Spider-Man is back - and this time in 3-D! Check out this Spidey pop-up book, featuring real comic strip excerpts.

The Amazing Spider-Man Pop-Up has all the old-school comic book styling you love, with a modern three-dimensional twist! The illustrations are vibrant and amazingly detailed, and the pop-ups really bring the action to life. Spiderman's story is cleverly blended into each of the distinct character profiles - so you can read each individually, or the book from front to back to get Spider-Man's whole story. It's Spider-Man-tastic!

So this year we are doing it a little different with whoever goes first gets to snag three items in a row being the best three items? Gonna pay off big time to get the 1st pick this year.

Looks like that's the case. (thumbs u

To be fair to HolidayHam, I know every raffle that I've gone in, top prize always takes home the biggest loot. Also, the majority of entrants don't win a prize at all. In this case, it looks like most people will win a prize. :applause:
