PGM X-Men 99 30 Cent Variant

5 posts in this topic

Does look 8.0 or so now..........

A good press could bring it up to 9.0 or 9.2 if no hidden issues [stains/cut-outs].

[Would possibly be even higher except for top front cover chip]

An 8.0 variant sold for $105 in 2012.

However, a 6.0 did $125 and a 7.0 did $141 in 2012.

8.5s have sold for between $153 to $234 but no sale since 2010.

A 9.0 sold this year for $239.

But in 2011, four sold ranging from $300 to $530.

The highest graded 99 variant, a 9.2, went for $975 back in 2009.

There are earlier sales of 9.2s from $260 to $812.

[The $260 was the very first sale, years ago, and looks like a steal.]

One thing to note: Prices for these variants are steadily rising over time.

You should proceed immediately by sending that book to Joey Post or Matt Nelson for evaluation and pressing. You may have a $1000 book on your hands.

I have another book I've already talked to Joey Post about. Just wasn't sure how bad of a defect that top chip was. There aren't any hidden issues that I can see. Just that chip and that spot but the x heads. I almost didn't buy it because of the chip. The place I got it is not a traditional comic venue and they overprice and over grade almost everything. I go there because they usually have cheap moderns.
