He didn't say "greatest" which is subjective. He said "most famous" which, while hard to quantify, is more objective than "greatest."

Actually I shouldn't have said "most famous" either... I think the quote I read actually called it the "most recognizable" photo in the world. Kind of the same thing, but I wanted to correct my quote.

It's also called the "Afghan Mona Lisa"

Whatever the case, I indulged my proclivity to be a smart asks and you got your art. Win-win! :)

The edition size is 100 and they've been sold out for years.

All kidding aside, congrats on the transaction. It's definitely one of the most recognizable photographs in recent years.

What is the edition size on the larger prints? Is it also 100 for each size?

To my best knowledge... his small photos 16x20 have 90-100 copies. His medium sizes 24x30 have 30 copies, and his large photos 32x40 have 9 or 10 copies. He does not make the prints all in one batch, he makes them 1 at a time when an order comes in. As the edition fills out he starts raising the prices. Usually the small ones start at $3500 when an edition is first offered and end up around $8500 when the last ones are printed. The medium & large prints go for much more.

If you ever hear of a gallery showing his prints near you, go take a look they're stunning.
