Late in his life Norman traveled with his wife and painted works based on the romanticized American west. Apparently he aspired to acceptance by the art world but was disappointed. A shame he did not live long enough to see the resurgence in interest and reverence for his work and that of fellow pulp artists! tomorrow I'll post a gallery exclusively devoted to OA before moving on.
