lol there's not a lot of hoarding to go on when you only have 300 copies out there. And seeing that many of these copies could have gone out to attendies that aren't comic stores(gaming shops or other genres) I would ges you have 15-20% that wont even show up in the market.

Edit to add: Also this RRP is nothing like the Saga RRP as well. The Saga RRP was available in one location and people were able to buy copies from others at the event because they were given away there. Because the EoW RRP was mailed out, that variable doesn't exist.

Too funny so conversation I had with Nick & Jonathan at the show I asked them in front of a couple of people how many were printed I think Nick said 300 Johnathan was not sure of it was 300 or more during the debate they stated eather way they each also have a couple from what I understand so I assume you. Won't see those on the market.

Also, the ink stains from the printers error will play into the rarity a bit too, not sure how many copies were effected, but I've seen a few with gnarly ink stains spread across the whole back of the book. Between that, the book being mailed out, and only havong 300 copies to begin with, this book will surely already is a rare find in 9.8

only 46 graded copies right now, those arent exactly great chances.

While there may not be as many copies to hoard, it still exists and possibly in the same proportion as the Saga RRP. I have seen many people comment here that will exceed the value of the Saga RRP, and that, in my mind, would encourage people to hoard.

I guess it depends on how you define hoarding, too.

I disagree, there were people who had 20+ copies of Saga RRP... I can pretty much guarantee nobody has that many copies of EoW RRP unless it has been one person buying them all up, there have not been that many sales.

The reason I say this is how they were distributed, there was an opportunity for people to acquire the Saga RRP from a single location. That was never possible with the EoW RRP.

Also people were able to pick up those Saga RRPs for a lot less money from summit goers(gaming shops and the like) who did not know how much it was worth. A guy offering you $20 bucks for a single comic from your goodie bag seemed like a no brainer to many of them.

And while dealers were not able to physically exchange and sell the RRPs at C2E2, there were plenty of comic dealers that were going up to the non-comic stores reps and prepurchasing their copies from them.

The EoW RRP was not availble on site. It was mailed out after the fact.

The Saga C2E2 variant was hoarded badly. Like, to the point that I didn't want it because the value to me felt manipulated. Where's the photo at with the 20-30+ all in yellow slabs? It's like slab porn.

Buried in the Saga thread somewhere, I know exactly the one you are talking about.

yep, but it's still the only option.

Also, those are ALL yellowed now ;)

Bottom line:

Saga RRP cover is cute

EoW RRP=kick a$@ character w/ a kick a$@ gun and then that cute "dog thing"!

Can't believe this is even a topic.

Which one do u think Chuck Norris would choose...I rest my case!

good point there. and consider how many was damaged during the shipping, I think the 9.8 copies gets even rare.

EOW Forbidden Planet Variant is moving very fast. I ordered 10 copies because their shipping is so high. but 3 was totally damaged and 5 was not 9.8 even they agreed to ship me in a box, They came in a padded bag. But I was being able to move 5 copies at VF at $20 a book to offset my cost.

It is a nice cover. Not even close to the EoW cover. Strictly talking RRP covers

Nice profile cover w/ cute little baby and its little horns.

EoW says "F@$& w/ me and I will rain down a sh@$storm on you"!

Plus I think Hickman would beat the out of BKV.
