jaybes
+1 WTTB!!! And great taste, if you're not reading Saga add that to your reading list and thank me later. Will do. Thanks He said thank him later. Just kidding. I'm being playful. WTTB. EoW is awesome. I couldn't get into Saga. I was lead to believe it was better than Star Wars, but I won't out the boardie cause he's my friend. Same here. I couldn't even get through the 1st issue of Saga. I guess we are in the minority. Fear not, you're not alone! I also could not finish issue #1. Art is beautiful, but man, the dialogue was a shart of a mess. EoW for Life!

I too hated Saga issue #1 Forced myself to read the next few issues, and by issue 5 I was hooked and it's now one of my favorite books to read. Give it another try. Beguiling-migration
Just out of curiosity, is anyone else getting sick of Hickman's aesthetic for all of his series covers? I'm kinda bored of it. I love the book but all that WHITE!!!
kapzilla
They are kinda boring, except the EoW covers. I think there's enough color/art, and the empty space is perfect for SS/sketches. The MP covers are off-putting to me, that's probably why I didn't buy it, because it wasn't intriguing enough and now I'm behind and regretting it. MP trades are on the way though, and soon I'll be caught up.
Colicab
It is probably by design with EoW since it is a 100% digitally created comic. Gotta have someplace to put pen to paper... Erik Larsen made fun of him a little bit because of no OA sales and Nick shrugged and said well, I can sell 20 prints for 10 bucks each and make 200... MP trades are on the way though, and soon I'll be caught up. They're polarising. There are plenty of people (including me) who think that the design concept of the Manhattan Projects covers is one of the most attractive things about the series. One of the main reasons I continue to buy the floppies is that I love the covers and they are not included in the trades. I love that Hickman is so involved in other aspects of his books besides writing them. If you check out the Nightly News and Pax Romana you'll see what happens when the whole thing is under his control. Even Avengers (although he didn't do the covers for those). There is something that bothered me in this quote from the link and here it is " Why, for instance, does a book set in a shattered and rejiggered United States never offer us a map of the new territory? Because it wants to disorient us, is my guess. It doesn’t just want to tell a story about the wild west — it wants to BE the wild west, a mapless, trackless wilderness in which we have to find our own way. It’s the worst of both worlds, the lawless west and the sci-fi distopia — ..." The map is on the interior back cover of issue #1.
Erndog
I noticed that too! I was like "did it imagine that map?" And even though Ive only read the run once through so far, It's pretty clear as day there was a map
