Little Orphan Annie #3 The Haunted House - 1928 (Cupples & Leon) 96pgs.,

 

This is probably my best book. Don't let the condition of the dust jacket fool you, at least it has one!

According to the OSPG, that either adds 50% to the value (i.e. value=150%), or not having a dust jacket will take away 50% of the value for a given grade (depending on which entry for the Cupples and Leon books you reference)

As it is a book, and not a comic, I believe the industry parlance for this condition would be "near fine" (with a beat-up dust jacket) - cool book. (thumbs u

I’m more with a F+ range, as it’s a 1930s book, and the kind of paper should be taken into account.

I’m trying to apply CGC and/or american grading standards to any kind of comic (or paper publication) I have, and it’s proving very useful.

P.S. Those are really lovely, but the contents are comics or illustrated written tales?

The contents are collected newspaper strips from the 20's & 30's. So, in a way, it's very much a comic - hardbound.
