Welcome to the Hot Modern DMZ.

 

No Peter Panzerflute

No Sagahhhhh

No Thought Bubble Blue Nowhere man group edition

No Walking Dead, no Dead man Walking, and no Walking Tall...

 

Im cleaning out some space on my shelves, so Im putting it up here before ebay. There will be some OOPs, some HTFs, and some dreck. All prices appropriately!

 

All trades, HCs and such are in good shape unless otherwise noted. Shelf wear of the normal variety is to be expected, I read these books. They have been deflowered, defrocked or however you want to put it.

 

Feel free to popcorn, comic-meme, or otherwise in the thread.

 

And Now the :rulez:

 

1. Shipping of books will default to boxed Media Mail and will be exact. Smaller orders (like 1-2 trades) can go the Padded & Reinforced envelope route.If you would like to upgrade to a box I can do that too. Shipping to Canada is available & will be exact, what ever it is (you guys use antlers or Celine Dion's or something for currency right?). APOs and the like are eligible! No international at this time, sorry. The weight is just to cost prohibitive!

 

2. Payments are preferred via Paypal, but I'll take checks & money orders to if you need to go that way. (Checks/MOs have to be recieved & cleared before books ship).

 

3. No players on probation, no ankle monitors, no "I have to stay 100 yards from playgrounds", and no HOSers...

 

4. :takeit: in the thread or via PM wins (first time stamp wins). Conditionals/offers can be made as well, but will be beat by the little man with the sign. FYI: I have GPA, I've looked up GPA, I know what the GPA prices are. I've also checked ebay and know what the market is setting the prices at.

 

5. Like Kramers says "Interesting trades" from my Want List will also be considered.

1. Superman For Tomorrow Absolute $40

Cheaper than anywhere, and amazon is currently charging full price for them new. This one has a couple of corner dings/crunches in the slipcase (visible in photo), but the book is sharp inside.

 

The Jim Lee art alone should cost more!

5. Hack/Slash Omnibus Vol 2 $10 SOLD!!!

300 pages of fun horror-ish comics. Tim Seeley is a great writer!

I never read Vol 2, and it didnt stop me from enjoying the out of H/S.

Also there's some nice eyecandy in these books... ;)

Cover took a hit at the used book store. Slight tear at spine w/some cresing.

Alan Moore & Alan Davis. Im not saying more

Oh except its the 2000 AD edition of the trade

7. The Best of Spider-Man HCs Vol 1-5 $70 SOLD!

 

The complete run of JMS from his time on the book right up just before the Civil War. Romita Jr and Deodato art thru the volumes. Some interesting arcs from JMS here, and a nice way to read 75 or so books at once.

8. X-men Vignettes TPB $4 SOLD! (Freebie)

Some of the best X-men stories of the 80s were found in the backups of X-men Classic where a series of "one and done" short tales were told, focusing on a single member of the x-men. A great Wolverine/Sabertooth match, and lots of great other characterwork in this book.

Steeped in the life-or-death tension of insurrectionist combat, is the young Marine Corporal James Newsom really fighting side by side with Captain America, or is it all in his mind? And is Cap actually... dying?

no actual DMZ (the book here)... this is just a safe haven from the Moden books being sold in all the other threads... thus this being a Modern DMZ.

 

I love DMZ and have the trades, and those are staying with me... sorry!

 

(ps Did anyone watch Dark Knight and think of DMZ? Gotham is NYC... it parallels it all pretty closely)
