as a collector for over 30 years, i should know this but ive never in my life owned a book with the cover detached, until now, i bought a lois lane 70 for 15 bucks, before i actually get to grading the book, i need to know where i should start and stop with grades for a book with a detached cover.

 

can anyone help me?

For silver age, i would start at 1.5 and go down from there.

I think that a 2.0 is possible.

 

It all depends. I've seen books in CGC cases that look perfect with detached covers, and they're graded 3.0
