Another underhand selling technique?

6 posts in this topic

Cerebus 8, 9 and 10.

The title and listing both state this is for three copies of Cerebus, 8, 9 and 10. However, the listing picture also shows a copy of number 7, slabbed in 9.4.

I can't help feeling this is a bit below the belt. A lot of people can be lazy when they bid and I could see some bidders expecting number 7 to be in there too. When it doesn't turn up, the vendor can put his hand on his heart and say "but it doesn't mention number 7, only 8 through 10".

"#8 #9 #10 all CGC NM"

CEREBUS #8, CGC 9.4

CEREBUS #9, CGC 8.0

CEREBUS #10, CGC 8.0

Sadly, if the seller knows anything about graded sportscards,

most card grading companies that use a 10 point scale have NM as 7 or better. 893frustrated.gif

Since CGC no longer uses condition descriptions,

CGC 7.0+ might be NM to you if you only know sportscards.
