Any tips for buying HG Coppers?

Copper is a very strange age for italian collectors, as our main Marvel publisher went bankrupt between 1982 and 1984, and so the publication of new stories was "freezed" until the late 1980s.

 

I personally think there is more quality in late bronze titles and certain issues, but of course this has little to do with quality.

I agree, but some Silver and Bronze covers are at the same level. Let’s say they generally put a lot of care in late Copper, early Copper was not as much good.

 

This one has to be one of my favorite covers ever, and is mid-Bronze:

This is one Silver cover which really stands out: :D

What they did good in Copper is they cleaned them up, getting rid of much of the lettering blurbs which dominated late Bronze, so the covers had a lot of impact.
