  1. If one were to quick press a cover and not the pages of the entire book. A crunch could still be present as a defect upon inspection by opening the book.
  2. I don’t see any damage in the image, but a crunch would be a corner impact affecting the pages and possibly the cover at the same time. This is typically fixable with pressing.
  3. This book is easy on the eyes and is one of the most difficult to find in 9.8 grade. I rank this book as my personal top tier Dave Stevens cover.
  4. I looked under Jonny Quest, seems to be a common issue.
  5. By my own submissions, I think the Dave Stevens books for the most part are easy to find in 9.8 grade raw. I've had all the mainstream books in 9.8 with most in the 5-10 copies per book range. Except for one book, Jungle Comics #1 I've only found one copy in 9.8 grade. Very soft inks and a brutal back cover to keep in grade.
  6. I've had to send reminders as available credit was not automatically applied.
  7. Instead of grading the book “The CGC” has admitted to grading the pressing with this example.
  8. It looks good for the grade with arms length grading. Some of these spine kinks I feel are happening during encapsulation. Not there during the submission or grading process.
  9. Here’s my old copy that I submitted, unfortunately I sold it years ago.
