Golden Age Comics.com? Good? Bad?

Forgive my newbie questions, I apologize in advance. I am browsing their website and finding many comics I want. They seem to be pricey. I would like opinions on this online comic store... Thanks...

I bought several "high grade" books from Joe a few months ago. Well-packaged, one had color touch and 2 were overgraded, but I kept about half of the order. It's worth a try. He was prompt and refunded my money on the books I returned.

Yikes, after reading all those threads overgrading seems to be a big issue with this seller....Thank goodness for this board.......

Try emailing a want list to Doug Sulipa. He's a senior Overstreet advisor, a good grader & usually replies within a day. Absolutely top notch.

I can also highly recommend Amazing Comics - he's quite good. Also Cards, Comics & Collectibles (cardscomicscollectibles@yahoo.com), not on the web, but good.

Very nice selection indeed, though this statement on his website struck me as a bit suspect:

 

"CONDITION: Contrary to POPULAR belief, I estimate that the AVERAGE EXISTING condition for Bronze Age comics is (A) FINE for superhero titles (B) VERY GOOD for NON-superhero titles and for superhero reprint titles"

 

Do collectors here agree with that at all? Seems a bit odd. When I seriously collected and was actively buying collections (about 5 years ago, mind you) that wasn't the case, I don't think.
