Ebay payment question

So, I sell this book. I send it. It gets sent back to me by the post office. I e-mail guy. He says sorry I was in the process of moving and the post office didn't forward my mail "let me know if there is any additional cost". I do that, but here comes my mistake. I don't wait for payment before sending the book out again to his new address. He e-mails saying the book has arrived and thank you very much. I e-mail saying, "that's great, did the book arrive okay?". No response. I e-mail one word. "Feedback?" No e-mail to me, but postitive feedback is left. After another day goes by I inquire about payment of the additional cost. Nothing.

 

So, the question. Forget the $2.83 or continue to pursue?

Yeah, you learn from mistakes. As friendly as transactions seem, you never send an item out before receiving payment.
