DKB
Just arrived in the mail today. My first Green River Book. Special thanks go to a few fellow forum members in assisting with the purchase of this book. Grats! I was watching that one. He had it up as a $1000 BIN for awhile, and I was curious what it would end at. Certainly no where near $1000! I just had the pleasure of taking out one of my GRs and explaining the whole pedigree concept, as well as the story behind this particular pedigree, to a total comic know-nothing over dinner at my place last night. I love that stuff. =)
Red Hook
What did your guest think of the backstory? I'm sure they went away thinking these books were owned by a serial killer. Most people seem to embrace that mistaken concept at the beginning.
DKB
What did your guest think of the backstory? I'm sure they went away thinking these books were owned by a serial killer. Most people seem to embrace that mistaken concept at the beginning. Considering the guest was from my wife's church, and was over as part of our pre-marriage counseling (still have the church ceremony coming up), I was very sure to point out that the guy was cleared of the murders, and that someone else was caught and convicted. Course, the guy still wound up in jail for the rest of his life for being otherwise creepy, eh? =) Regardless, she still thought the Stan Lee File Copy was cooler. That's a coolness that is easier for comic newbs to understand.
Red Hook
That's pretty understandable.
