This time an FF 12 needs grading.

Basicly the bottom staple is .

It is still attached but two tears (one small one is vertical and can't be seen well on the scan) make it weak.

And a corner crease bottom right too...

 

If not for the staple this would be a nice VG+ book.

Is it still a full VG (4.0)?

 

The insides are OW/W, almost White with crisp pages like you normally find in a VF-up comic.

As long as the centerfold is still attached at both staples...I think you're all right

It's allowed in 4.0.

Minor chipping, creases at staples, the one large one at LRC...

I think 4.0 is reasonable...

I think you can list this book as a 4.0. I usually give "bonus" points for whiter-looking pages, esp on a lower graded book.

 

If it had tan or C-OW pages, I might give it a 3.5.

With a wing and a prayer it might be! I beg to differ with all you gents, but it clearly has too many defects to warrant a sacred 4.0 = 3.5 maximum It wouldn't actually grade higher than a 3.0
